Long Sutton Church of England Primary School was originally established in 1873 on the Village Green. Since 1992 our four class school has been in the present premises, adjacent to the Village Hall. The modern building serves the needs of the school well and governors are constantly adapting the facilities to the changes necessary to keep pace with modern developments in the curriculum and in technology.

The school aims to develop the full potential of each child within a strong Christian context. The last school inspection (in October 2002) was very positive. “…the ethos of the school is very good ensuring a sense of purposefulness and community in a secure environment” and “Pupils’ attitudes, behaviour and personal development are a strength of the school….. and attitudes to learning are very good” are just two quotes from the report.

The catchment area for the school includes Long Sutton, Long Load, Knole, Pibsbury, Upton and Muchelney. The governors are willing to consider out of zone admissions.
